Great Chishill South Cambridgeshire Village
Great Chishill windmill is one of the very few surviving open trestle Mills. It was built in 1819 on the site of an earlier mill that provided several timbers for the rebuild. It is the only such mill with a fantail for automatic winding. It was in use, grinding grist for animal feed, until 1951 and was fitted with a new trestle and.

Great Chishill is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Great and Little Chishill, in the South Cambridgeshire district, in the county of Cambridgeshire, England. The village is about 1 mile (1.6 km) east of the county boundary with Hertfordshire and about 4 miles (6 km) east of Royston. [1]
